We are proud to announce the first Quiltworx University right here in Judy’s hometown of Kalispell, MT!
Quiltworx has rented the Snowline Acre’s building, which is a beautiful relocated and updated event center with giant cross beams, beautiful windows on every side, and room for everyone to spread out and quilt with mountain views in beautiful NW Montana.
Our Quiltworx University events are perfect for both beginning paper piecers and those with a full-on Judy addiction! Judy will be joined by four Quiltworx Instructors who will be teaching alongside her, Quiltworx staff will be on-site for all your Quiltworx needs, Judel Niemeyer will be designing quilts, and we will have a wonderful pop-up store full of all of Judy and Judel’s favorite fabric collections! There will be classes, demonstrations, nightly trunk shows of gorgeous quilts that will surely be inspirational. We will have on-site shopping, fun give-aways, show and tells from your fellow Quilters, Quiltster demonstrations, and more! The Snowline Acres building will be available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day for those who want to sew late into the evening, or early before class. We have a maximum of 80 spots available, but they go quickly, so reserve your spot today!
For every Quiltworx University, we create an exclusive project, giving you the opportunity to create a completely unique quilt! You will be required to work on the class project, but will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of quilt sizes and blocks to mix and match and customize your project. We will offer 3 quilt sizes and you will use Quiltster to plan your project, place your order, and the kit will be cut and waiting for you to start class when you arrive. The kit cost is separate from the event cost. But, 6 month of Quiltster is included with your signup, so you will have plenty of time and access to the program to pick the perfect project for you!
For this Quiltworx University, we’ll be expanding the Congo Star Mixer Series, offering new block layouts (A wall size, the existing queen, and a King). Quiltworx University attendees will be the FIRST to create with them! Full project details will be released March of 2024. We are so excited to reveal all the fun surprises with fabric collections, block options, new techniques and more!
Your registration today is a Pre-Registration, meant to secure your spot and help us plan for room reservations and bookings at our various lodging locations set aside for this event. In November, you will receive a link, with your reservation, to an account where you can login, see your reservation, see your balance, and finalize your reservation request with different options like reserving a sewing space, requesting seating accommodations, dietary needs, and so forth. At this time, please save your email as your proof of registration. (Quiltworx can forward you another one if you lose it, so give us a call if you need help!). Quiltworx will be providing a catered Lunch and Dinner all nights of the event, at Snowline Acres. More details will be available on this through the event portal as well!

DOUBLE OCCUPANCY: This lodging option is perfect for you and your friend, or for you and your friend that you will make at this event! Lodging will be at the Best Western Flathead Lake Inn and Suites, located approximately 4-1/2 miles from Snowline Acres, and only 1 miles from the Quiltworx Warehouse. We will have limited shuttle services available throughout the day for those who choose not to rent a car. And/or, you will need transportation to go back and forth, freely. Complimentary breakfast is available at the hotel. Double Occupancy includes hotel rooms from October 13th to 17th. Class ends at 2 p.m. on October 18th, so you will check out that morning. Additional nights (before or after the event) will need to be booked separately, through the hotel, at your own cost. Price: $2,950
SINGLE OCCUPANCY: This lodging option will also be provided at the Best Western Flathead Lake Inn and Suites and is perfect for those of you who prefer your own privacy in your room in the evening or students who may be traveling with a spouse or travel partner not attending the workshop. Lodging will be at the Best Western Flathead Lake Inn and Suites, located approximately 4-1/2 miles from Snowline Acres, and only 1 miles from the Quiltworx Warehouse. We will have limited shuttle services available throughout the day for those who choose not to rent a car. And/or, you will need transportation to go back and forth, freely. Complimentary breakfast is available at the hotel. Single Occupancy includes hotel rooms from October 13th to 17th. Class ends at 2 p.m. on October 18th, so you will check out that morning. QUILTWORX TRAINING CENTER: This lodging option is a double occupancy option where you will be able to stay in one of 5 rooms at the Quiltworx Training Center. We will not have this room set up for sewing, however, so please do not plan to sew at the training center. A kitchen area is available at the Training Center for you to prepare your own breakfast (basic continental breakfast style options will be available, or you can explore several of the local breakfast cafes in the area before class!). The rooms at the training center include twin beds and shared bathrooms for two people in each room. Price: $2,950
OFF-SITE: This lodging option is available for students traveling locally, or those who would like to make their own lodging arrangements. Are you traveling in an RV, with a spouse? Montana Basecamp is located less than a mile from Snowline Acres! The Please understand that it is your responsibility, if you book an off-site reservation, to secure your own lodging. You will still receive the full meal plan regardless of your lodging plans. Also, please understand, we have only allowed for 10 off-site spaces during this event. We must give our lodging partners a guarantee of a certain number of rooms to secure the bookings at the pricing levels we have been quoted. If you plan to stay off-site, but all of the off-site lodging spaces have been booked already, you will need to sign up using the Double Occupancy pricing. Thank you for understanding. Price: $2,450.
QUILTWORX RETREATS: We are so very excited to share that Quiltworx Retreats, which is the house that was used for Retreats, overlooking Flathead Lake until 2016 will be available for lodging during this event! There will be 9 spaces available in this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home located approximately 6 miles from Snowline Acres. With never-ending views, a great floor layout, a full kitchen and living area, it will be a great place to not only sleep between your sew days, but relax and enjoy the view! Room occupancy is Double occupancy in 3 of the rooms, and one large room will have space for up to 3 students! Price: $2,950
ON-SITE SNOWLINE ACRES GUEST HOUSE: There is a wonderfully renovated home on the snowline acres property that we have rented for a few of our guests who would like to stay on property and walk back and forth to the event center across the lawn. This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home has 2 rooms with single occupancy and one room with double occupancy for a total of 4 guests. You will not need a car if you stay at this location, but will need to have groceries for breakfast or to eat at the small coffee and breakfast kiosk that is on the property, just outside your doorstep! There are a number of delivery services, like Instacart or doordash to help you with your breakfast and food delivery needs. Price: $3,200
An initial deposit of $400 is due upon signup for this retreat and is NON-REFUNDABLE. A second NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $400, is due 6 months prior to the start date of your retreat.
