Kristen Bender is an award-winning quilter who has been teaching since 2011. Her interest in sewing began in Germany at age 9, when she sat with her mother and sewed clothes for her dolls. After she discovered quilting in 2004 her patchwork addiction was born. She is thrilled to share Judy’s techniques, tips & tricks with others. Seeing students’ eyes light up with excitement when they learn something new is one of the rewards she enjoys the most. Kristen loves sharing her knowledge and passion by leading classes that are fun while providing a low stress space and promoting comradery. When she’s not quilting/teaching, she is an integral part of the accounting department at a family-owned manufacturer and enjoys spending time with her family in MN and on both coasts.
