Debbie’s quilting journey begain in 2014 when her mother-in-law passed away and left her some sewing machines, tons of fabric, thread, notions AND pieces to 15 quilts (with no directions!!!) A lifelong sewer, she transitioned to a quilter.
In 2016 Debbie took the “Glacier Star” class from Certified Instructor Rosie Lysinger. Her next Quiltworx quilt was Paradise in Blooms which she made on her own with a little phone coaching from Rosie. That started her down the path of Mariner’s Compass, Mooncatcher, and many other Judy designs.
When Debbie is not teaching, she is a broker, realtor in Louisville, KY.
She has taught classes in Louisville, Danville, Cave City, Stanford and Lexington, KY as well as Greenwood and Franklin, Indiana
Debbie loves to travel and is willing to teach wherever someone wants to learn.
Debbie has exhibited her quilts in AQS shows, the Kentucky state fair, several local quilt shows and the Indiana Heritage Quilt show.
In the past, Debbie has taught chemistry, swimming, real estate, knitting, fiber dyeing, and fiber processing.
