Barbara has a long history in fiber arts and crafts, starting with cross stitch and sewing her wedding veil. This was a love learned from many women in her family.
Barbara was gifted her first sewing machine in 1992 and made many things for her house as a newlywed. After Barbara finished graduate school, she was able to take some quilting classes and quickly fell in love with the craft.
The types of patterns Barbara likes to make kept getting more and more detailed and she likes to challenge herself to learn new quilting skills. She decided to try Quiltworx by signing up for her first Quiltworx retreat in Kalispell MT in 2018.
She has also been able to attend Quiltworx University a few times and would highly recommend this experience. Barbara has also been using Quiltster for over 6 years and the ability to play with colors in a pattern before purchasing the pattern and fabric for a project has been an invaluable resource for her.
Barbara has completed over 30 Quiltworx patterns and does not see an end to the beautiful things to create.
Barbara has been sharing her love of quilting for many years through the sharing of knowledge with others. Barbara has been teaching formally for a couple of years and looks forward to continuing to share her love of Quiltworx patterns and timesaving methods with many more students in the years to come.
When Barbara is not quilting, talking about quilting, or working her job in Information Technology, she spends time with her husband, three grown children and her cats. Barbara also enjoys camping when she can get away. She currently lives in Southeast Michigan but would love to visit you and teach you the love of Quiltworx patterns and techniques.
