Barbara’s journey in fiber arts and crafts began with cross-stitching and sewing her wedding veil, a passion nurtured by the women in her family. In 1992, she received her first sewing machine and created many items for her home as a newlywed. Following her graduate studies, Barbara took quilting classes and quickly fell in love with the craft.

Her enthusiasm for increasingly intricate patterns pushed her to continuously learn new quilting skills. In 2018, Barbara attended her first Quiltworx retreat in Kalispell, MT, diving deeper into her quilting journey. She has since participated in Quiltworx University multiple times and highly recommends the experience. For over six years, Barbara has utilized Quiltster, a valuable tool that allows her to experiment with colors in patterns before purchasing fabrics and patterns.

To date, Barbara has completed over 30 Quiltworx patterns and her creativity shows no signs of slowing down. She has shared her quilting knowledge informally for many years, and for the past few years, she has been teaching quilting classes. Barbara eagerly anticipates continuing to share her love for Quiltworx patterns and timesaving methods with even more students.

When not quilting, discussing quilting, or working in Information Technology, Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband, three grown children, and her cats. She also loves camping whenever she can. Residing in Southeast Michigan, Barbara looks forward to visiting you and sharing her passion for Quiltworx patterns and techniques.
