Summer Solstice – Classic or Swirl

Instructor
Details

Who says summer has to wait until June?

While the rest of the Northern Hemisphere is bundled up in sweaters and dreaming of sunshine, we’ll be sailing across the Pacific, trading winter coats for ocean breezes and stitching our own little piece of summer aboard ship.

Summer Solstice celebrates the warmth, light, and vibrant energy of the longest day of the year – making it the perfect project for our Hawaiian adventure. Inspired by sunshine and movement, this stunning Quiltworx design combines the precision of foundation paper piecing with the magic of watching a quilt bloom one section at a time. You can choose from the “Classic” Summer Solstice version or the “Swirl.” Whether you’re a seasoned paper piecer or looking to add another masterpiece to your collection, you’ll enjoy watching the vibrant arcs, curves, and points emerge as beautifully as a Hawaiian sunrise over the Pacific.

The best part? Classes take place on days at sea, and when we’re in port, you’re off the ship enjoying the sights! With plenty of open sew time, you’ll be able to get all your questions answered right then and there.

Join me for a little midwinter rebellion as we chase the sun all the way to Hawaii. Sometimes the best way to celebrate the Summer Solstice is in January! Tempted? Plenty of time to start planning – and saving – for 2028.
