This class is open to any student interested in making a Quiltworx Technique of the Month (TOM) pattern. Current TOM’s available are Vintage Rose, Dinner Plate Dahlia, Coral Reef, Carnival Flower and Arctic Star (formerly Glacier Star) or if you have one of the discontinued patterns- Glacier Star, Mariners Star or Paradise in Blooms stashed away that you want help with. We will work on the pattern of your choice to learn about cutting out the fabrics, organization, foundation piecing, smart corners and curved piecing. Also appliqué using Judy Niemeyer’s techniques.
Before class starts I will meet up with each of you to help you plan your quilt using Quiltster. With this tool we can design a color way that will show you the amounts and placement of fabrics you choose. When signing up please stipulate which pattern you plan to make, I will need time to order them before class if you don’t have a pattern.
This a 6 month class.
