Confetti Cake with Judy Niemeyer on Quiltworx Youtube Channel

This design is the 3rd Online workshop in a series of classes sponsored by Quiltworx and Free Spirit using Tula Pink True Colors fabrics to make introductory level Quilts using Judy’s Techniques. A pre-class preparation video will be released on June 15th to help you get ready for class. Before then, simply purchase your pattern and begin working on fabrics! Visit the Quiltster Marketplace or your Local Quilt Shop to help you find kits or review the back of the pattern for fabrics.

Techniques covered include sorting and organizing your pattern (specific to Confetti Cake instructions, although you will see there are other designs you could make that use the piecing techniques that will be taught). Then, we will teach you how to use Foundation Sheets and complete Foundation Paper Strip piecing for a perfect Lone Star block. We will also teach you how to add sashing strips and explain why we love them so much for simple assembly. Then, discuss special fussy cutting and assembly tips for the border.
