My very first Quiltworx pattern was the Bali Wedding Star. When I couldn’t figure out the pattern on my own, I found that Judy was teaching at Asilomar on the gorgeous Monterey coast in California. (Side note: Judy tells a hilarious story that every time she was doing a demo, I was either out strolling on the beach or getting a massage – maybe that’s why it took me eight years to finish it!) Empty Spools hosts five six-day retreats every year at Asilomar. One of the teachers from Session 3 has to cancel, and I’ve been invited to substitute for her. This is short notice, but the session is Independent Study, so you can work on any Quiltworx pattern you like. Come join me at the lovely “refuge by the sea” to work on your Quiltworx project. Finish your project in under eight years (probably even sooner!)
