Nestled in a cozy corner of paradise, we are a true destination quilt shop that brings quilters from around the globe. Our shop is a treasure trove of over 100 quilt samples displayed throughout the store and in our Classroom Studio, offering endless inspiration. The heart of Stitch n’ Snip lies in its Mother-Daughter duo, Rena Hastings and Anna Gardner. Both bring decades of passion and expertise to every corner of the shop.
Rena Hastings has been a force in the quilting world for over 40 years. Her passion for teaching and inspiring quilters is matched only by her dedication to her craft. With more than 15 years of experience teaching Judy Niemeyer Paper Piecing patterns, Rena is a true lover of all things paper piecing. Her warm, encouraging approach makes her a beloved teacher, and she loves seeing her students grow and succeed. For Rena, nothing is more rewarding than watching her customers complete their quilts with joy and pride.
Anna Gardner is a color enthusiast, especially when it comes to coloring Judy Niemeyer quilts. With a deep love for batiks (and over 2000 batiks to play with!), Anna’s passion for paper piecing shines through in every class she teaches. Her students leave with new skills, newfound confidence, and a smile on their faces. Anna is dedicated to making paper piecing fun and approachable, and she takes great pride in sharing tips and tricks that help quilters at any skill level. When she’s not teaching, Anna can be found creating kits, particularly Judy Niemeyer Quiltworx kits, and refining them to perfection. With the help of Quiltster, we ensure that our kits are top-notch, making the cutting and fabric prep easier than ever before. Our TOM and BOM kits come with extra details, including unit packets and cover sheets with helpful tips to ensure your quilting success.
