About Our Shop
Always Quilting is the place where Creativity and Community Come Together! Owned by Kit Morse and Julie McAuliffe, Always Quilting is located in the San Francisco Bay Area on the peninsula between San Francisco and San Jose, with easy access to the surrounding Bay Area. The San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland airports are all near by, as well as many great places to stay and eat! And we are always open online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Kit and Julie met through the local quilt guild when Always Quilting was just starting as an online shop. Within a year, they had opened a brick and mortar store. They have continued to grow the shop significantly over the last 20 years to ultimately create a full service quilt and sewing shop! Currently, the shop is over 9000 square feet, including a 2500 sq.ft. training room. So if you are taking a class with us you will have lots of room to spread out!
We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of fabrics, kits, books, patterns, notions and more! In addition to being a Certified Judy Niemeyer Shop, we are also a Certified Kimberbell Shop, and a Certified Laura Heine Collage Shop. We are an authorized Handi Quilter Dealer, AccuQuilt Dealer, CutterPillar Dealer, and we also offer long arm quilting services, long arm quilting classes, and long arm machine rental. As a Judy Niemeyer Certified Shop, we are very excited to offer quilting services using the Judy Niemeyer Digitized Designs!
Always Quilting has an extensive inventory of all Judy Niemeyer patterns, including some that have been discontinued and are hard to find! We also have many kits with fabrics featured on the pattern covers, as well as some exclusive Always Quilting designed color ways. We are very knowledgable with Quiltster, and we are always available to custom color a project for you in the colors of your choice. And we have our own exclusive Always Quilting pattern line, and you can find those patterns and kits on Quiltster as well!
Kit and Julie are dedicated to creating a vibrant community of quilters and sewists of all styles and ages. They are focused on providing excellent customer service, with a creative and custom touch. Classes are a top priority, and we offer a wide variety of quilting and sewing classes, including a full range of Judy Niemeyer classes and retreats.
