DESCRIPTION:Quilt Camp 2027:  Join Quiltworx.com for a Northwest Montana Themed Quilting Retreat!  These 9 night\, events\, include lodging and food (on days when teaching is happening)\, 5 days of class\, and 3 days to Explore Northwest Montana on your terms!  Popular demand has requested retreats that allow our Quilters not only time to quilt with Judy\, but time to explore one of the most sought after summer vacation spots in the US\, Northwest Montana!  There are endless ways to enjoy the Flathead Valley in the summer. \nTake a local shopping trip (or two!) to any of our resort towns\, including Whitefish\, Bigfork\, Kalispell\, or Columbia Falls.  Organize a drive through Glacier National Park on the famous Going to the Sun Highway.  Drive around Flathead Lake and visit Cherry Orchards\, take in the views\, and enjoy lunch and dinner at one of the many outdoor patios on the shores of the lake.  Take a chairlift ride up Whitefish Mountain.  Hike or Bike in Montana’s Backcountry.  Book a Far West Cruise on Flathead Lake.  Try out a Rafting Trip\, fishing charters\, float a local river\, take a kayak or paddle board into Somers Bay… the options are endless!  We have many local outdoor music events\, arts and craft shows\, wonderful farmers Markets\, and quilt shops from one end of the Valley to the other!  With playhouses in Bigfork and Whitefish\, there’s always amazing local performances happening throughout the summer months as well! \nCheck in on a Monday evening beginning at 3 p.m. (dinner on your own)\, sew with Judy through Thursday evening (3 meals served Tuesday through Thursday which includes continental breakfast\, and lunch and dinner catered by Tamarack Brewing Company\, in Lakeside\, MT)\, use Friday\, Saturday and Sunday for whatever you like\, then finish up class on Monday and Tuesday (3 meals will be served on these days)\, with Checkout on Wednesday of the following week by 9 a.m.!  Choose any quilt you would like to work on from the Quiltworx line of products and bring them at any stage. We will help you get started\, or help you finish!   Join Judy one evening for a Trunk Show of some of our most popular designs\, see upcoming publications and new fabric collections\, shop in the warehouse\, and if desired\, get a Quiltster demonstration from Judel!  If you would like to have Judel custom design a kit for you out of warehouse fabrics (limited to supply on hand at the time)\, we can make that happen\, too!  11 Spaces available\, 1 is offsite.  \nThis retreat will be held at the Quiltworx Training Center\, which is located at 100 Lincoln Lane\, Kalispell MT.  The Quiltworx Training Center is a full-time retreat center\, so you will be required to pay a 8% bed tax. If you need a new project to start\, browse the Quiltworx website\, then ask Quilt Mercantile to order the pattern. If you pay in person\, Quilt Mercantile discounts the pattern 20%. Do you need help selecting a pattern for your current ability? SUMMARY:Luminary Wall part 3 of 3 w/ Donna Viau
DESCRIPTION:This is a great beginner class to learn the Quiltworx method of Foundation Paper Piecing! \nTake this 3 part class with Certified Instructor Donna Viau at The Masquerade on Sunday afternoons in August (on the 1st\, 8th and 15th)\, 2027. \nClass will run from 11am – 3pm each day for just $30 per day. The class is for a 68″ wall quilt that can be expanded to queen size.  You can use either size pattern or kit to take the class.  Learn how to use Template Layout Sheets and how to piece floating points stacked seams\, strip piecing \, narrow veins\, gentle curves\, and most importantly how to make the 8 point center lay flat! \nWhen you purchase a seat\, there are “In Studio” or “via Zoom” options\, so you can participate however is most convenient for you.  Prior to class you will recieve a tutorial link to guide you in preparing your papers and fabric for class.  At the end of each class day you will also receive video tutorial links for all the piecing we have worked on during class. So if you have to finish something between classes\, you will have our certified instructor right there to guide you to a perfect finish.  Donna will support each and every student all the way through to the last stitch.  You can contact her with any questions at any time – she is always very happy to help!
