SUMMARY:QuiltWorx Winter Traditions
DESCRIPTION:Judy & Brad Niemeyer designed this quilt by re-creating 3- 16″ traditional blocks.  The first is a unique Snowflake design\, the second is a traditional Compass block\, & the 3rd is a traditional Feathered Star block.  All three blocks are very fun and interesting to assemble.\nAnd a new twist has been added to this quilt in 2025!  A King Border and additional embellishments have been created based on a quilt created by one of Judys Certified store in Canada.  Their quilt was prominently featured in a Hallmark christmas show in 2024 and became so popular that Judy worked with the store and created a publishable King extension for Winter traditions. \nIn this class you can choose to create the 85″x85″ original quilt\, the “New” King sized quilt or we have other new border options that will allow you to create any other size you want.cutting papers or yardage in class. DESCRIPTION:Come join Certified Instructor Tina Lueders at the beautiful Stitchin’ Heaven Retreat Center in Quitman\, TX.  Check in is on Wednesday\, November 12th at 1:00 pm with a “Get Acquainted” dinner at 6:00 pm.  Breakfast\, Lunch and Dinner are provided on Thursday-Saturday.  Breakfast is provided on Sunday\, November 16th and checkout is at 11:00 am.  The sewing room is open around the clock for you night owls and early birds.  On Saturday evening we’ll have a “Trunk Show” and “Ta-Da’s”. \nCost of the Retreat: $575 – Pricing is based on double occupancy room. Each room will sleep two and has a private bathroom.  Maximum 24 guest. \n\nif you require a private room\, then you will need to rent a cottage from Stitchin’ Heaven for the duration of the retreat.  You will receive a discount of $125 off of our retreat cost if you are staying in a cottage.  Friends of Judy Retreats will not be responsible for the rental of cottages through Stitchin’ Heaven\, that is something that you will need to do on your own. DESCRIPTION:The Wedding Ring has long been one of the most popular patterns in traditional quilting.  Judy and Brad Niemeyer have designed several iterations of the traditional wedding ring as well as put their own stamp on the design (placing a star in the center).  This class will afford you an opportunity to make either the traditional version – Flowers For My Wedding Ring – with the addition of flying geese and applique borders or the Bali Wedding Star version – you determine the size ranging from table topper\, bed runner\, throw\, all the way to a full sized quilt.  Class will meet once a month for three months to afford participants ample sewing time between classes.  The goal is to begin assembly of your quilt at the last session. DESCRIPTION:Quiltworx Paper Piecing \nWorkshop Quiltworx® paper piecing \nDoor Marianne Martens-Niemeijer\, Inge Janssens en Janet Wielinga \nMaak kennis met de bijzondere manier van Paper Piecing van Quiltworx. Deze  unieke paper piecing methode is door Judy Niemeyer bedacht. De prachtige quilts die zij ontwerpt lijken erg moeilijk\, maar dat valt reuze mee. Je kunt er op de beurs en in de stand van Quilthoeve (nr. 49) veel voorbeelden van zien. \nOm aan deze workshop deel te nemen is het handig als je al netjes recht kan naaien met de naaimachine.\nTijdens deze workshop maak je een Charm Element. Vind je het mooi? Dan kun je een patroon of een compleet pakket in onze stand kopen. Natuurlijk is ook al het materiaal dat we gebruiken in onze stand aanwezig.\nWil je een pakket van speciale stof uit onze winkel?
