DESCRIPTION:Judy & Brad Niemeyer designed this quilt by re-creating 3- 16″ traditional blocks.  The first is a unique Snowflake design\, the second is a traditional Compass block\, & the 3rd is a traditional Feathered Star block.  All three blocks are very fun and interesting to assemble.\nAnd a new twist has been added to this quilt in 2025!  A King Border and additional embellishments have been created based on a quilt created by one of Judys Certified store in Canada.  Their quilt was prominently featured in a Hallmark christmas show in 2024 and became so popular that Judy worked with the store and created a publishable King extension for Winter traditions. \nIn this class you can choose to create the 85″x85″ original quilt\, the “New” King sized quilt or we have other new border options that will allow you to create any other size you want.cutting papers or yardage in class. DESCRIPTION:An 8-day course to make this challenging quilt under the guidance of Marianne Martens-Niemeijer\, certified instructor for Quiltworx® patterns. A true masterpiece in terms of technique\, yet suitable for both the beginning and the advanced quilter.\nYou will receive the pattern in September 2025; the package of fabrics will be ready for you when the course starts.\nWhat can you expect:\nYou decide which size quilt you want to make:\nWall size = ± 2.00 x 2.00 cm 88 inch (approximately 21 meters of quilting fabric)\nQueen size = ± 2.50 x 2.50 cm 99 inch (approximately 28 meters of quilting fabric)\nYou can choose from different color variations that can be made as both Wall and Queen. It is possible to make a different color scheme for you. However\, all packages must be purchased from Quilthoeve. The package includes the pattern. The images are for example only\, colors and fabrics can be adjusted:\nYou can save an amount per month from September 2024. The amount depends on the size of the quilt and the color variation you choose. You can also pay in other installments\, if you want. The total amount must be paid before July 31\, 2025. SUMMARY:BobKat's Autumn in Shipshewana 6 Day Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Autumn is a wonderful time to visit Indiana’s Amish country.   Shipshewana is great place for quilters!  There are several massive quilt and fabric shops within walking distance of our retreat space at the Farmstead Inn\, and there are more than a dozen more with in a 20 minute radius.  We keep the participant group to less than 30.   I’m now doing both a Spring and an Autumn retreat and we’ve sold out the Spring retreat last two years. \nAs usual we’ll focus on Quiltworx projects and this year I’ve chosen some great patterns with a wide range of options including  Hocus Pocus\, and Summer Solstice.  You can do them straight\, expand them to queen size or even give them a swirl!  See the examples below.  Of course you’re welcome to purchase another Quiltworx pattern at a discount or bring one that you’re already working on. Choose one of the featured patterns or a pattern I’ve taught before and I’ll share the class videos so you can get a head start on your quilt before the retreat.  Need help after the retreat?   I’m there for you as well via phone\, email\, facetime or Zoom.
