SUMMARY:February Sew Good Quilt Retreat
DESCRIPTION:At the Fall Serial Rippers retreat\, Karen Johnston and I were working on our QuiltWorx (Judy Niemeyer) foundation paper piecing quilts\, and several of you asked if we could teach you at the February Sew Goods retreat. Well\, we’re doing even better than that — we’ve managed to arrange for a QuiltWorx Certified Instructor\, Michele Rondot\, to join us in February and teach those interested how to master these beautiful techniques! \nHere’s a bit about Michele:\nShe’s made over 35 Judy Niemeyer quilts (wow!)\, and her journey with these patterns has taken her all over\, from learning on her own to working closely with Judy herself. Michele’s passion for Judy’s designs has only grown over the years\, and now she loves helping other quilters discover the joy of paper piecing too! \nShe’s selected 3 beginner-friendly patterns: \n\n\nTwinkle Star (38”x38”)\n\nBaby Bella (36”x36”)\n\nMini Stars (17”x51”)\n\nMichele will also have some fabric kits available if you’d prefer a coordinated package to go along with the pattern.

Each of these quilts are designed to give a student help with a variety of skill Judy had built into the quilt pattern. Students will work with foundation piecing (paper piecing)\, cutting stacking\, curved piecing\, strip piecing\, smart corners\, applique\, transition and registration points\, and curved paper piecing. At Fiddlesticks we meet once a month for six months.
