DESCRIPTION:Quilt Camp 2024:  Join Quiltworx.com for a Northwest Montana Themed Quilting Retreat!  These 9 night\, events\, include lodging and food (on days when teaching is happening)\, 5 days of class\, and 3 days to Explore Northwest Montana on your terms!  Popular demand has requested retreats that allow our Quilters not only time to quilt with Judy\, but time to explore one of the most sought after summer vacation spots in the US\, Northwest Montana!  There are endless ways to enjoy the Flathead Valley in the summer. \nTake a local shopping trip (or two!) to any of our resort towns\, including Whitefish\, Bigfork\, Kalispell\, or Columbia Falls.  Organize a drive through Glacier National Park on the famous Going to the Sun Highway.  Drive around Flathead Lake and visit Cherry Orchards\, take in the views\, and enjoy lunch and dinner at one of the many outdoor patios on the shores of the lake.  Take a chairlift ride up Whitefish Mountain.  Hike or Bike in Montana’s Backcountry.  Book a Far West Cruise on Flathead Lake.  Try out a Rafting Trip\, fishing charters\, float a local river\, take a kayak or paddle board into Somers Bay… the options are endless!  We have many local outdoor music events\, arts and craft shows\, wonderful farmers Markets\, and quilt shops from one end of the Valley to the other!  With playhouses in Bigfork and Whitefish\, there’s always amazing local performances happening throughout the summer months as well! \nCheck in on a Monday evening beginning at 3 p.m. (dinner on your own)\, sew with Judy through Thursday evening (3 meals served Tuesday through Thursday which includes continental breakfast\, and lunch and dinner catered by Tamarack Brewing Company\, in Lakeside\, MT)\, use Friday\, Saturday and Sunday for whatever you like\, then finish up class on Monday and Tuesday (3 meals will be served on these days)\, with Checkout on Wednesday of the following week by 9 a.m.!  Choose any quilt you would like to work on from the Quiltworx line of products and bring them at any stage. SUMMARY:Judy/Judy at Sharon’s Attic
DESCRIPTION:In 2022\, Quiltworx.com designed its seventh “Technique of the Month” pattern. The Carnival Flower Pattern brings together a wide-range of techniques for Foundation Paper Piecing\, leaving students with the ability to move on to many other Quiltworx patterns once they have completed this design. The Carnival Flower (both wall and queen sizes) include many of Judy’s techniques for paper piecing\, including cutting\, stacking\, chain piecing\, curved piecing\, strip piecing\, smart corners\, appliqué\, the use of Transition and Registration Point (TRP) Lines\, curved paper piecing\, and our newest technique\, which is an overlapping curves paper piecing process. \nAt Sharon’s Attic the technique quilts are taught in an open class that run the first Sunday\, the fourth Saturday or third Tuesday each month. This provides the student the opportunity to attend at their own pace. With the technique quilt a commitment of six sessions is required. \nA student can also use this time to work on any other Quiltworx pattern. It may be done as a single session or multiple as need. \nEach session must be scheduled by call the shop and adding your name to the list. The busy shop then can control the use of the big classroom use.
