SUMMARY:Training Center – 2024 – June Quilt Camp with Judy Niemeyer
DESCRIPTION:Quilt Camp 2024:  Join Quiltworx.com for a Northwest Montana Themed Quilting Retreat!  These 9 night\, events\, include lodging and food (on days when teaching is happening)\, 5 days of class\, and 3 days to Explore Northwest Montana on your terms!  Popular demand has requested retreats that allow our Quilters not only time to quilt with Judy\, but time to explore one of the most sought after summer vacation spots in the US\, Northwest Montana!  There are endless ways to enjoy the Flathead Valley in the summer. \nTake a local shopping trip (or two!) to any of our resort towns\, including Whitefish\, Bigfork\, Kalispell\, or Columbia Falls.  Organize a drive through Glacier National Park on the famous Going to the Sun Highway.  Drive around Flathead Lake and visit Cherry Orchards\, take in the views\, and enjoy lunch and dinner at one of the many outdoor patios on the shores of the lake.  Take a chairlift ride up Whitefish Mountain.  Hike or Bike in Montana’s Backcountry.  Book a Far West Cruise on Flathead Lake.  Try out a Rafting Trip\, fishing charters\, float a local river\, take a kayak or paddle board into Somers Bay… the options are endless!  We have many local outdoor music events\, arts and craft shows\, wonderful farmers Markets\, and quilt shops from one end of the Valley to the other!  With playhouses in Bigfork and Whitefish\, there’s always amazing local performances happening throughout the summer months as well! \nCheck in on a Monday evening beginning at 3 p.m. (dinner on your own)\, sew with Judy through Thursday evening (3 meals served Tuesday through Thursday which includes continental breakfast\, and lunch and dinner catered by Tamarack Brewing Company\, in Lakeside\, MT)\, use Friday\, Saturday and Sunday for whatever you like\, then finish up class on Monday and Tuesday (3 meals will be served on these days)\, with Checkout on Wednesday of the following week by 9 a.m.!  Choose any quilt you would like to work on from the Quiltworx line of products and bring them at any stage. DESCRIPTION:Abracadabra\, Alakazam!  Join Jodie Madison\, a certified instructor for Quiltworx to make the spell-binding quilt Hocus Pocus (80” by 80”)\, June 19-22\, 2024.  In this class\, you will learn basic paper-piecing techniques along with some Quiltworx exclusive techniques like curved paper piecing\, and strip paper-piecing a lone star.  We will also learn how to take the center lone star and make the colors swirl around the star.  Once you learn this technique it can be applied to any number of Quiltworx patterns including Summer Solstice\, Artic Star\, Tarnished Windmill\, and more!  Want to make the quilt bigger?  Hocus Pocus can be enlarged to 118” by 118” by picking one of Quiltworx’s extension packs.

SUMMARY:Technique Quilt – Your choice – Fiddlesticks
DESCRIPTION:The technique quilts are works of art that were designed to teach a variety of skill used in making many Quiltworx patterns. There have been 7 technique quilts designed. They are released every two years on January 1. The first three have now been discontinued or updated and released as general patterns. In this class you may choose to do any one of the four available technique quilts: Dinner Plate Dahlias\,  Vintage Rose\, Coral Reef or the newest one Carnival Flower. The class runs for 6 month but I encourage the students to meet with me ahead of class to select the pattern and color it using Quiltster.

Those already familiar with Judy Niemeyer paper piecing will have expert instruction from Susan as they work to finish their masterpiece. With all meals provided and a great friends in an awesome sewing space you’ll be amazed at how much you get done!\n\nHere’s more detail: \nFriday – Arrivals and goodie bag. Breakfast\, lunch\, dinner and snacks provided. One game\, and one demo.\nSaturday – Breakfast\, lunch\, dinner and snacks provided. One game and Show and Tell after dinner.\nSunday – Breakfast and afternoon snack provided. Sew until 3pm to depart by 4pm. \nCoffee\, tea\, water available all through the retreat as well as lots of sweet treats. If you would like to indulge in an adult beverage\, please BYOB.
