You are invited to join us at the second Quiltworx University in Quitman\, TX\, at the brand new Stitchin’ Heaven Event Center\, which is attached to the Stitchin’ Heaven Quilt Shop and across the parking lot from lodging at the Retreat Center and Cottages. \nOur Quiltworx University events are for the beginner to the most experienced paper-piecers. You will enjoy the opportunity to work with Judy\, Judel and some of the most knowledgeable Certified Instructors. In addition to great fun and fellowship\, you will learn Judy’s foundation paper piecing process\, speed-cutting\, chain-piecing\, and curved piecing. \nWith our new pattern mixers\, you have the incredible opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind quilt. With registration you will receive 6-months of Quiltster (which will become available approximately 4 to 6 months in advance of the event and extend for one to two months after) and will be able to use this program before the event to plan your project from block selection to selecting fabrics featured for the event that you love. \nThis will be Judy’s 6th visit to Stitchin’ Heaven to teach classes but the opportunity to work with Judy and her staff doesn’t come around often. You’ll definitely want to make the Evergreen Fern 40″x40″ quilt with Quiltworx/Judy Niemeyer Certified Instructor\, Carin Brimley. Evergreen Fern is constructed using three sections: Group J is comprised of (8) center diamonds; Group G is a pieced border added to the center diamonds to make a 32″ square\, and Group B is an outer border added to the quilt center.  The pattern uses basic paper piecing techniques that can be applied to many of our projects. Skill Level: Confident Beginner (must know how to use a sewing machine) \nThis is a GREAT introductory pattern for learning how the Quiltworx/Judy Niemeyer projects are made. PERFECT for CONFIDENT BEGINNERS at foundation paper piecing. A pre-class group zoom will be held one week prior for pre-class prep.
