DESCRIPTION:This retreat is being offered by experienced Certified Instructor\, Janet McNamara Houck. It is geared to the student who wants to learn Paper Piecing the Judy Niemeyer way or students with limited experience paper piecing. THe retreat center offers a huge sewing room equipped with individual tables\, several ironing stations with irons and several cutting stations. Each student provides 1 meal to be shared in an effort to keep costs affordable. The Cost is $500 and includes lodging. The bedrooms are upstairs\, there are 2 single rooms\, the rest are shared rooms. There is a patio area to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Depending on what the weather has been like\, there may be an opportunity to harvest a few fresh vegetables for the meals. Downtown Waynesville is a quaint town with some interesting shops. Typically\, we eat 1 breakfast out at Joey’s Pancake House. It’s quite the attraction in nearby Maggie Valley. There are 2 Quilt shops in either Waynesville or Maggie Valley.\nJan loves to share her expertise and love for all things Judy. This tax will be paid at the end of your stay during checkout. \nThere are no meals provided on the day of check-in. \nOur September Retreat will include: \nCheck-in: 9/21/2023 at 3:00 p.m.\nTeaching: 9/22/2023-9/26/2023\nCheck-out: 9/27/2023 at 9:00 a.m. \n3 meals served Monday through Friday which includes continental breakfast\, and lunch and dinner catered by Tamarack Brewing Company\, in Lakeside\, MT. \nFor this retreat\, the Quiltworx  Training Center Retreat schedule will be as follows: \nJudy will be at the training center the night of check in for a couple hours to greet everyone and help you get set up. \nThe second night you will have a trunk show. \nThe retreat will include 6 days of teaching.  You will receive 6 hours of instruction on the teaching days. \nOne afternoon during the week of teaching days will be a shopping day where you can travel to the local quilt shops in the area. \nPAYMENT INFORMATION: \nIf your shopping cart is empty after you place your reservation\, there will be a link in your sign up email  to make your deposit\, so please check your email after you make your reservation.  Call or email us at (406) 393-2646 or retreats@quiltworx.com if you have questions.
