It is designed in sections that start from easy to hardest. These patterns have always been show stoppers and the Dinner Plate Dahlia is no exception. It is awesome and if you can sew a straight line\, YOU can do it.·         The Wall version finishes 80” square – pattern is $96 including special ruler·         The Queen version finishes at 90” square – pattern is $119.50 including special ruler \nPatterns will be available in January\, but we can color yours in Quiltster today. Let us customize yours. \nCLASS FEE: $320 SKILLS: Confident Beginner \nStudents always receive 15% off purchases for classes at Inspire! \n \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\nSupplies:·         Pattern – Dinner Plate Dahlia by Quiltworx (includes paper foundations)·         Fabric as indicated on pattern back – colors are your choice·         Scissors – both paper and fabric·         Rotary cutter and extra blades·         Add-A-Quarter Ruler 12” or 18”·         6” X 18” ruler and medium cutting mat \n·         Seam Ripper \n·         Scotch Tape \n·         Fabric Glue Stick &/or Glue Pen (we like Sewline or Bohin) \n·         High quality cotton thread 50 or 60 weight (we like Aurifil) in a neutral color \n·         Large uncoated paper clips (lots) \n·         Gallon baggies & Sharpie marker \n·         Flower Head pins \n·         Sewing machine in good working order with ¼” foot\, power cord\, foot pedal \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrework:·         Cut out all of the paper foundations ¼” outside marked lines.·         Refer to pattern instructions for numbering bags and what goes in which bag.·         Are you prewashing? Wash and press all of it. Never start a project with some pieces washed and some not. DESCRIPTION:The Niemeyer Club focuses on foundation paper piecing patterns by celebrated designer Judy Niemeyer (www.quiltworx.com).  Vintage Rose is the 4th ‘Technique’ that brings together a wide-range of techniques for foundation paper piecing. Vintage Rose is divided into 6 sections. The sections start in the centre\, working outwards toward the pieced border. \nThis class is for those new to paper piecing and those wanting to learn more.  The pattern results in a stunning quilt.  The instructor\, Michele\, is a Certified Instructor with Quiltworx. Michele has completed 35 various patterns from Quiltworx. \nNote: Previous foundation (paper) piecing experience is NOT a requirement. \nDuring each of the 5 club sessions\, Michele will present a construction element and/or demonstrate a technique pertinent to this sessions’ projects.  The balance of the time will be spent sewing. \nWhat you will learn in this class: \n\nHow to read and work with a Judy Niemeyer pattern.\nThe technique for cutting apart the foundation papers.\nCutting\, stacking\, chain piecing techniques\nRegistration Points (RP)\nCurved paper-piecing\, curved assembly using (RP) Lines\nAssembly using long “S” curves\n\nClasses will focus on various techniques\, AND will leave lots of time to sew-cialize. \nThis is a club; do as little or as much homework as you like!
