DESCRIPTION:We are excited to bring you our retreats for 2018!  This event is a teaming event with Judy Niemeyer.  Our events are open events meaning you are free to bring any pattern that Quiltworx.com has designed to work on while attending your retreat. \nThis retreat will be held at the Quiltworx Training Center\, which is located at 100 Lincoln Lane\, Kalispell MT.  The Quiltworx Training Center is a full-time retreat center\, so you will be required to pay a 7% bed tax. This tax will be paid at the end of your stay during checkout. \nOur March #1 Retreat will include: \nCheck-in: 3/8/2018 at 3:00 p.m.\nTeaching: 3/9/2018 to 3/13/2018– 4 days of teaching and a free sew day\nFree Sew: Yes\nCheck-out: 3/14/2018 at 11:00 a.m. \nFor this retreat\, the Quiltworx Training Center Retreats schedule will be as follows: \nThe first night after check in and dinner you will have a trunk show. \nThe retreat will include four days of teaching.  You will receive 6 hours of instruction on the teaching days. \nIn addition to the four days of teaching\, you will have a free sew day.  The free sew day may fall on different days depending on the group. \nOne afternoon during the week of teaching days will be a shopping day where you can travel to the local quilt shops in the area. \nPAYMENT INFORMATION: \nAn initial deposit of $150 is due upon signup for this retreat and is NON-REFUNDABLE.  A second payment of $150 will be required in September 15\, 2017.  This payment is also NON-REFUNDABLE.  Final Payment is due in January 1\, 2018.  For more information read our Cancellation Policy PDF on the main retreat page. \nAir Transportation: \nNorthwest/Delta\, Alaska\, and United/Continental to Airport Code FCA \nBig D’s Taxi can provide Shuttle services to and from the airport to the Quiltworx Training Facility. SUMMARY:Prismatic Star Workshop 2 of 2
DESCRIPTION:The Prismatic Star was created to show how an exploded star could be paper pieced using the (48) 2-1/2” strip packages that Quiltworx.com has created for use with a number of its strip pieced quilt designs (the Cover Quilt is shown in 2-1/2” Strips by Timeless Treasures).  Strips are sewn onto foundation paper to complete what we call a ‘Strip Set’. After the strip sets are completed\, they are cut apart\, rearranged and resewn into a diamond star point. The process originated by combining two previous published techniques used in several of the Lone Star and Bali Fever quilt designs by Quiltworx.com.
