DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to offer our 5th event with Sherida Giddings\, certified Quiltworx instructor. \nThe workshop is a 5 day adventure in all things foundation paper piecing. \nSummer Solstice\, Riptides or Wishing Star would be good starters for the first time Quiltworx project. \nWork on whatever project you wish or start at the beginning.  Let us know and we will suggest\, can kit\, etc. \nTips and tricks will be offered on a variety of techniques and guidance for success. \nHappy to discuss with you. \n  \nWhere: Arden Park Hotel\, Stratford Ontario\, 552 Ontario Street\, Stratford ON \nWhen:  Starts:   10Nov\, 2024 @ 10am \nEnds:      14Nov\, 2024 @ 4pm (irons unplugged at 3:30) \nWe do suggest arriving the night prior\, check in 09Nov. \n  \nMeals: daily lunch \nTea\, coffee\, water and gratuities included with all meals. \nPlease note any food allergies in comment section. \n  \n************************************* \nEach participant will have a 6′ table \nThe room will be equipped with ironing stations\, irons\, cutting tables\, mats. \n  \nSupply List: \nSupplies Needed for Class: \n– pattern\n– fabric\n– Flower pins\n– Rotary cutter 45mm or 60 mm\n– New rotary blade(s)\n– 6″ by 12″ ruler\n– A 12” x 18” cutting mat (minimum)\n– High quality cotton sewing thread\n– Size 70 needles (Microtex recommended)\n– 12″ Add-a-quarter ruler\n– 18″ Add-a-quarter ruler\n– Fabric glue UHU stick\n– Glue Pen (Fons and Porter\, Sewline\, Bohin or Avery recommended)\, and replacement glue sticks\n– Repositionable Glue (Judy prefers Scotch Brand)\n– 12” Creative Grids Wave Ruler or the Curved Diamond Cutting and Trimming Ruler from Quiltworx.com\n– Purple Thang (Optional\, but helpful for steps that might include removing papers\, having an extra finger\, curved piecing\, and so on).\n– Scotch Tape\n– Large Ziploc Bags\n– Stapler\n– Binder Clips (medium and small)\n– Large Paper Clips\n– Acorn Easy Press Pen\, replacement nibs\, and Easy Press Solution (Optional)\n– Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion\, scissors\, seam ripper\, fabric marking pen or pencil\, small cutting mat (no larger than 12×18)\, and a rotary cutter) \n-Sewing machine in good working order\, cords\, 1/4″ foot \nMost of the above supplies are available from hyggeligt.ca and we will have some at the workshop\, just in case. \nAll fees are non-refundable but are transferable.
