DESCRIPTION:Quiltworx 4 Day Retreat with Carin Brimley – Vintage Compass Quilt\nApril 7–10\, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM \nNorthern Threads and Quiltworx Certified Instructor Carin Brimley are thrilled to invite you to a 4-day daytime Quiltworx Retreat! With only 15 seats available\, this is a wonderful opportunity to grab a friend and enjoy four inspiring days of sewing\, learning\, and creativity. \nRetreat Details\n\n\nDates: April 7–10\, 2026 \n\n\nTime: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily \n\n\nFee: $295 per attendee \n\n\nSeats Available: 15 \n\n\nPlease note: The workshop fee does not include patterns\, supplies\, or sewing machines. If you need a sewing machine\, please contact us. \n\nRetreat Project Pattern\n\n\nVINTAGE COMPASS by Quiltworx (Judy Niemeyer) \n\n\n\nFabric Selection\nPlease refer to the yardage chart on the back of your pattern for the required fabric amounts. \nOnce you’re signed up for the class\, you’ll discover so many beautiful coloring options for your project! If you’d like Carin’s guidance using the Quiltster program to color your quilt\, please contact her as soon as you register to schedule a 1-hour personalized coloring appointment. This session will help you finalize your color choices and feel confident and ready before the retreat begins. \n\n Supply List\n\nSewing machine with ¼” foot\nSize 70/10 Microtex Sharp sewing needles\nThe VINTAGE COMPASS pattern which includes the instructions and foundation papers. (We will be getting the pattern in stock soon)\nFabric as noted on the pattern\nThread to blend with your fabric.\nIron (if you want your own at your sewing station)\nRotary cutter with new blade.\nMedium sized cutting mat (12”x18” is a good size for use by your sewing machine)\nA piece of template plastic (3”x12” works well) – I supply this free at class\nRuler for cutting fabric and templates (24”x6”or 6 1/2” works well)\n12” Add-A-Quarter ruler (this speeds up the trimming process and makes it more accurate).\nWashout fabric glue stick (SewLine is a good one to use) WITH REFILLS\nREPOSITIONABLE glue stick like Scotch Brand (I provide this as a gift on day one).\n.55mm Flower Head or .5mm 1 7/8” Glass head pins (long shanks)\nThread scissors\nSeam ripper\nSharpie (to mark zip lock bags)\nQty 7 Gallon-size zip lock type bags (labeled A1\, BR\, BL\, B1\, C1\, C2\, C3)\nJumbo paper clips\n\nDownload and review the full supply list here before the workshop \n\nExclusive Attendee Perks\n\n\n20% in-store discount during the days of the workshop \n\n\nFREE 1 hour consultation with Carin Brimley \n\n\nCustom-color your Quiltworx project before the retreat \n\n\nSpots are limited — early sign-up encouraged! \n\n\n\n\n\nMeals & Breaks\nMeals are not provided for this daytime event.
